Friday night, I go to spend some time with two girls that are growing up way too fast. I met their family when the oldest was a wee little baby. Now they are far from little ones as I learned when I tried to carry the youngest! Ya, that won't be happening very frequently anymore! When they were younger they had a hard time saying "Elizabeth," like most kids do! Instead, I earned the nickname "Lif-a-lif." To this day they still call me "Lif-a-lif" because they know it warms my heart. So much so that when they catch themselves pronouncing my name correctly, they get the deer in head lights look and quickly correct themselves!
I know it sounds corny, but I can't really imagine my life if I hadn't been introduced to these kiddos and their parental units. I love that they are a part of my life.
There's a snippet of my Friday night, stay tuned as I'm spreading my weekend activities out over a couple of posts. Just know that future posts involve constructing a castle, putting my sewing skills to use, and some fabulous family time that was of course cut short for work.
